The GMEA conference is a 3-day event that hosts Professional Development spanning all types of music teaching (Elementary, Secondary, Collegiate, Choral, Instrumental, and more). The event contains an impressive exhibition hall where attendees can purchase teaching resources and it also hosts a variety of musical performances that showcase student performance groups from throughout the state. NAfME National Conference January 25-27, 2024 Athens, GA
The NAfME Nation Conference is a 4-day event that hosts Professional Development for k-12 Music Education, as well as sessions that promote Music Research and higher Teacher Education. The event also hosts musical performances by the All-National Honor Ensembles, which represent the top-performing high-school musicians from across the nation. AOSA Professional Development Conference November 1-4, 2023 Albuquerque, NM
The American Orff-Schulwerk Association Conference is dedicated to providing professional development, lesson ideas, and teacher collaboration specifically focused on the teachings of Orff Schulwerk. This means that most sessions are geared for teaching grades k-8 general music, with special attention to musical game-play, instrument improvisation and exploration, preservation of folk songs, exploratory movement and play, and choreographed line and circle dance.
