Kodály is a world-wide philosophy of music education and concept of teaching that began in Hungary with composer and musician, Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967). This comprehensive program trains basic musical skills and teaches the reading and writing of music in a developmentally grounded, process-oriented, sequenced way. It is an experienced-based approach to teaching music and is also singing-based, multi-sensory, and emphasizes sound before sight. (Credit: Sarah Adams/Caroline Goldstein)
